Mountain Orthodontics provides orthodontic care for children, teens, and adults in Squamish, BC.

Mountain Orthodontics is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and patient-focused Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) with a completed Orthodontic Module preferred, but not required to join our team in beautiful Squamish, BC.

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

  • Full-time or Part-time, year round.
  • Monday-Friday work week.
  • 3–5 days per week, with flexibility based on mutual agreement.

  • $37-40 for a certified dental assistant who is willing to complete the orthodontic module and sees a long-term career as an orthodontic certified dental assistant.
  • $40-43 for an experienced certified dental assistant with a completed orthodontic module.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) in BC.
  • Has a completed Orthodontic Module.
  • Has orthodontic assisting experience, preferably in a clinical orthodontic practice.
  • Newer orthodontic assistants with the right attitude and strong clinical fundamentals are also encouraged to apply.
  • Is confident, organized, reliable, and patient-focused.
  • Enjoys working with children, teenagers, and families.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Works well as part of a team.
  • Is interested in learning, developing, and growing with the practice.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Instrument sterilization.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare the treatment room with necessary instruments and materials.
  • Appliance delivery, adjustments and removal.
  • Lab work as needed.
  • Patient education re braces, appliance wear and care.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations
  • Helping create a positive and comfortable experience for children, teens, and adults.
