Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant to join a brand new orthodontic office in Squamish, BC. At this independently owned, state-of-the-art & fully digital orthodontic practice that is opening this month, you will become an integral part of providing top-notch support to both the dentists and the patients. About the Role, Benefits & Perks:
- New office with all new equipment based in Squamish, BC.
- Full-time, year round, 32-40hrs/week with some flexibility.
- Hours are typically Monday-Thursday 8am – 5 pm and Fridays at 8am to 3pm.
- Beginning wage in the range of $40-$45/hour with CDA experience and an orthodontic module certification.
- Beginning wage in the range of $38-$40/hour with 3+ years of CDA experience or $35-$38/hour for novices.

The Perfect Candidate:
- Current CDA certification in BC
- Certification in orthodontics preferred but not required.
- Out of province candidates may apply if willing to relocate and recert in BC.
- Proficient in dental software and practice management systems.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using dental tools, x-ray equipment, and dental software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Patient care – scan with 3D scanners (no impressions), x-ray acquisition, intraoral and extraoral photographs.
- CDA with orthodontic module will also take on orthodontic chairside duties including archwire changes, bracket and band placement, deband/debond.
- Instrument sterilization.
- Patient education re braces, appliance wear and care.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare the treatment room with necessary instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations
