The Property Manager for the Sea To Sky Community Services is responsible for maintaining tenant relations and ensuring that buildings provide healthy, safe and positive living environments for tenants. They are responsible for the oversight of all building and facility related activities such as inspections, maintenance and repairs, security, and janitorial services.

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

  • Full-time, year round.
  • Squamish, BC
  • 35hrs/wk; typically Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm.
  • Occasional after hours/on call support as needed.
  • $74,092.20 – $77,077.00.
  • Extended health program.
  • 6% vacation pay.
  • After 6 months, an employee will be enrolled in the Municipal Pension Plan.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • Certificate, license or diploma in property management or related field.
  • Diploma related to the area of building maintenance and construction.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in property management environment; including direct experience working in and with trades/maintenance and in conducting building inspections.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Responds to tenant inquiries, complaints, and emergencies.
  • Organizes and participates in tenant selection committee meetings.
  • Negotiates leases with tenants and ensures collection of security deposits and rent payments.
  • Manages budgets as assigned; monitors and approves expenses; seeks quotes.
  • Assigning and following up on work orders to building maintenance staff or through contracting outside services.
  • Performs unit and facility inspections .
  • Oversees the work of suppliers and contractors to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Supervises program staff. Assists in human resources activities such as interviewing, hiring, training staff, performance management and discipline issues.
