We have multiple openings for Warehouse & Inventory Coordinators at a new rail services shop that is opening in Squamish this month.  This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact rail and rolling stock projects across North America.  Offering competitive wage, excellent benefits, and lots of room to grow and learn.

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

  • Full-time, year round.  Based in Squamish, BC
  • Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday.
  • Wage:  $55,000 – $75,000 per year based on experience. *negotiable

The Perfect Candidate: 

The successful candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating across procurement, shop, and project teams—without compromising accuracy, safety, or inventory control.

  • Diploma or certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or materials coordination roles, preferably in manufacturing, rail, or industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and material handling practices.
  • Experience using inventory management or ERP systems.
  • Ability to read basic part descriptions, bills of materials, and work orders.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a schedule-driven, fast-paced operational environment.
  • Highly organized and methodical.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for inventory accuracy.
  • Clear communicator with shop, procurement, and operations teams.
  • Proactive problem-solver, comfortable escalating issues early.
  • Safety-conscious and disciplined in work practices.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and changing demands.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Manages the receipt, storage, tracking, and issuance of materials, parts, and equipment required for shop operations and project execution.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy, material availability, and efficient warehouse organization to support production schedules and minimize delays.
  • Operates in a fast-paced, delivery-driven rail and industrial environment where material flow, traceability, and responsiveness are critical.
  • Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials, parts, and equipment.
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and shipping documents; report discrepancies or damages.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of materials in designated locations and maintain organized, clearly labeled warehouse areas.
  • Issue materials to shop and project teams according to work orders and priorities.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments, returns, and transfers as required.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement and buyers to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Communicate material shortages, delays, or risks to operations and project teams.
  • Support expediting and prioritization of critical materials for production and field activities.
  • Assist with material planning for upcoming projects and shop workloads.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory or ERP system.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and support physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Track consumables, spare parts, and project-specific materials.
  • Support inventory optimization and stock level management.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures, including material handling and equipment operation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for receipts, issues, transfers, and inventory movements.
  • Support compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, material flow, and inventory processes.
  • Note: Flexibility in working hours may be required to support production and project needs.
