Now hiring a full-time Automotive Service Technician for a family-oriented automotive shop in Squamish, BC. About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

  • Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for the right candidate and potential for a 4 × 10-hour schedule.
  • Competitive wages offered, negotiable based on experience and qualifications:
    • Experienced Technicians $45–$55/hour
    • Junior Technicians $35–$40/hour

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • Must have 2+ years of automotive repair experience in a shop environment; junior technicians with at least 1 year of relevant shop experience will also be considered.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, with experience using hand/power tools and automotive repair equipment. Experience with oil changes, tires, brakes, and alignments is beneficial.
  • Red Seal certification or dealership experience is an asset; small engine mechanics with transferable skills and experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills, with a focus on quality work and customer service.
  • Life experience counts! Training will be provided, so candidates who may not meet every qualification but have relevant hands-on experience, mechanical skills, or a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, fluid checks, and inspections.
  • Use diagnostic equipment, schematics, and hand/power tools to accurately troubleshoot and complete repairs.
  • Provide professional customer service while communicating vehicle concerns and recommended repairs.
  • Work collaboratively with the team while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused shop environment.
