PearlSpace, an amazing non-profit organization, is seeking a Full Cycle Bookkeeper to help support their finance department. The position is full-time for 4-6 weeks and potentially longer, with a starting wage in the range of $28-$34/hour. Also, trial shifts are available for the right candidate to see if the fit is good both ways!
Work Assignment Details:
- SCHEDULE DETAILS:
- TIMES: 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday with some flexibility (32-40hrs pw).
- BREAK: 30m paid break.
- DATES: starting as soon as possible for 4-6 weeks with potential for long-term.
- NOTE: this is not a remote position – you will be working alongside their office team.
- DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Assisting with the accounts payables and receivables at a local Squamish Non-profit organization.
- Entries and reports in Sage 50 primarily, and as well as working with manual paper records.
- Accounts Payable: entering receipts, reconciling vendor statements, navigating GST/PST.
- Accounts Receivable: posting and sending invoices, processing payments, issuing receipts, recording sales.
- Payroll Processing: Biweekly entry of hours and balancing of payroll.
- Monthly Reconciliations and Government Submissions
- Additional general bookkeeping duties as needed.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Preference is for experience in Full Cycle Bookkeeping. Minimum 2+ years experience in Payroll, A/P and A/R.
- Must have working knowledge of Sage 50 and Sage Intact ideally
- Detail-oriented, fast learner, and can follow instructions accurately.
- Experience in non-profit or retail accounting is a strong asset.
- Pro-active worker who has great time-management skills.
- Experience in paper filing and data entry.
- Criminal Record Check and Confidentiality Agreement required.
- Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
WAGES: $28 – $34/hour plus vacation pay
Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!
JUNIOR BOOKKEEPER WAGE:

- Tier 1 = $28/hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 2 = $30/hr after 5 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 3 = $32/hr after 10 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
FULL CYCLE BOOKKEEPER WAGE:

- Tier 1 = $30/hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 2 = $32/hr after 5 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 3 = $34/hr after 10 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Successful Shifts = be on time, work hard and make our clients happy.
- All shifts in any position worked with WPS count towards a higher Tier for all future shifts.
