TAG Panels is currently seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Carpenter / Panel Installer combining shop production, material handling, shipment preparation, and on-site installation support.   The successful candidate will work with the production team, install crew, and office/modeling team to help  deliver well-coordinated panelized projects.

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

  • Location: Squamish, BC
  • Type of Employment:  Full-time
  • Schedule:  Mon-Fri 7:30AM-4:00PM; travel to site throughout the Sea to Sky with a company vehicle is required during project installations.
  • Wage:  $38 – $43 per hour based on experience
  • Perks & Benefits:  Extended Health & Dental Package, $200 tool allowance after 3 months, $200 yearly allowance,

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • Minimum 5 years of carpentry or wood-frame construction experience
  • Carpentry apprenticeship, trade certification, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Red Seal certification is an asset
  • Experience with residential or light commercial construction
  • Comfort working both in a shop environment and on active construction sites
  • Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and installation plans
  • Good understanding of framing methods and standard carpentry tools
  • Ability to work safely around cranes, forklifts, trailers, and industrial equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to lift materials and perform physically demanding work
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying site conditions
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and motivated to learn
  • Familiarity with both imperial and metric measurements
  • Understanding of high-performance building practices is an asset
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience with prefabrication or panelized construction is an asset
  • Experience with CADwork or reading 3D-model-based drawings is an asset
  • ZEB, Passive House, or high-performance building training is an asset

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Prefabricate wall, floor, and roof panels in the shop
  • Assist with layout, framing, sheathing, insulation, wrapping, and general panel assembly
  • Read and follow shop drawings, WebGL 3D CADwork model, install plans, and production documents
  • Assist with loading panels and materials for shipment
  •  Help maintain organization and cleanliness in the shop and yard
  • Travel to job sites to assist with installation of prefabricated panels
  • Assist with site setup, inventory tracking, and material organization
  • Work with the site crew, foreman, crane operators, and delivery drivers during panel installation
  • Follow panel installation sequencing and site-specific safety procedures
  • Support quality control by flagging issues and helping maintain production standards
  • Work collaboratively with the production team, install team, and office staff
  • Help maintain tools, equipment, and facility standards
