Our clients are building fine homes, completing the renovations of restaurants and hotels and working on a variety of other projects around Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton. They requires a number of skilled drywallers, carpenters and labourers each week to assist with these projects. Requires good physical fitness, willingness to get your hands dirty and work hard plus a great attitude. Pays up to $37/hour based on experience / trade certifications.
WORK ASSIGNMENTS AVAILABLE:
- DATES & SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Shifts request come in daily.
- Short-term and long-term assignments available.
- Preference given to workers who are available for at least 3-5 days per week and able work overtime if needed to get the project done.
- Permanent positions are also available (a great way to try before you apply!)
- Pick you own schedule and work only the jobs and days that you want.
- TIMES: typically 8:00am to 4:30pm Mon- Friday + OVERTIME AVAILABLE
- SCHEDULE NOTES: Duration of work assignment may be extended or shortened depending on progression of work and completion of project.
POSITION: Labourers – Restoration Crew $20-$22/hour
- DUTIES INCLUDE: Assisting with building fine homes, completing the renovations and restorations of restaurants and hotels and working on a variety of other projects.
- SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Physically fit, ready to work hard, able to lift heavy loads (30lbs) and be on your feet all day. Prior construction or work site experience beneficial.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS / REQUIREMENTS: Steel toed or sturdy work boots required. Work gloves also beneficial (or can be supplied).
POSITION: Carpenters $24 – $37/hour
- DUTIES: Carpentry, basic construction, finishing, installing doors & windows, manual labour, painting, roofing and general construction duties as required.
- SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Friendly and helpful attitude. Hard worker who is willing to pitch in where needed to get the job done.
- Construction Labourers / Entry Level Carpenters: basic construction experience.
- Skilled Carpenters: 2+ years experience.
- Senior Carpenters / Team Leads: 5+ years with papers (red seal or equivalent)
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS / REQUIREMENTS: Steel toed boots required, tool belt and work gloves beneficial. Tools will be supplied . Bring water bottle, snacks and lunch (will be on job site all day).
POSITION: Experienced Drywallers & Painters $26-$28/hour
- DUTIES: Assisting with the hanging, taping and boarding of drywall at a newly renovated restaurant. Involves physical labour and heavy lifting.
- SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Minimum of 2 years of prior drywall experience hanging, taping and boarding drywall. Physically fit, ready to work hard, able to lift heavy loads and be on your feet all day.
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Steel toed or sturdy work boots required. Basic tool belt and electric drywall screw gun beneficial. Hard hat & gloves also beneficial (or can be supplied).
WORKER WAGES: $20 – $37 /hour
Squamish Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!
- BASIC LABOURERS:
- Tier 1 – $20/hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 2 – $21/hr after 5 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 3 – $22/hr after 10 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Must have own PPE (steal toed boots, hard hat, work gloves)
- SKILLED TRADES / PAINTERS / CARPENTERS / DRYWALLERS:
- Tier 1 – $26/hour to start plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 2 – $27/hr after 5 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 3 – $28/hr after 10 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Must have own PPE (steal toed boots, hard hat, work gloves)
- SENIOR CERTIFIED TRADES (Red Seal) 5+ years experience:
- Tier 1 – $35/hour to start plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 2 = $36/hr after 5 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 3 = $37/hr after 10 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Must have own PPE (steal toed boots, hard hat, work gloves), basic hand tools and provide proof of certification.
- Successful Shifts = be on time, work hard and make our clients happy!
- All previous shifts worked in any position count towards a higher Tier for all future shifts.
