CNC Programming and Materials Processing Manager

Now hiring a CNC Programming and  Materials Processing Manager for a Squamish based steel manufacturing company .

 Ideal for someone with experience in this field who is  a hands on leader and enjoys being actively involved in the day to day operations. 

Offering a starting wage in the range of $40 – $50 per hour with a flexible schedule and  full benefits. 

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

• Salary Range:  $40 – $50 per hour
• Flexible schedule for either  4 day or 5 day work week.
• Schedule: Monday – Thursday 10 hr shifts or Monday – Friday 8 hr shifts
• Extended health benefits.

The Perfect Candidate: 

• Experienced CNC programmer with strong knowledge of machining and material processing
• Natural leader with the ability to manage, motivate and work alongside a production team
• Strong understanding of CNC equipment, tooling, materials, and production processes
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong communicator who works well with production, engineering, and management teams
• Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Knowledge of production standards that comply with QA and QC requirements.

Responsibilities Include: 

• Manage CNC programming and material processing operations
• Develop, review, and optimize CNC programs for production
• Plan production schedules and coordinate workflow
• Oversee material selection, preparation, cutting, and processing
• Lead, train, and working alongside production staff
• Troubleshoot programming, machining, and production issues
• Preparing CAD/CAM files, creating and modifying CNC programs, using nesting software
• Setting up machinery, operating equipment when required
• Monitor production quality, efficiency, and material usage
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity
• Ensure equipment, tooling, and materials are properly maintained and available
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient production environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices
• Provide leadership and direct technical support to keep production moving while developing the capability of the team.
• Oversight of inspection processes and safety standard enforcement.
