TAG Panels Inc.  is looking for hardworking individuals with

About the Role, Perks and Benefits:

  • Hiring for several full-time and part-time positions including carpenters, junior carpenters and foreman/woman.
  • Full-time, option: 40 hours a week, 5 days a week, weekends off.
  • Part-time option:  20-30 hours a week, 2-4 times a week, weekends off.
  • Wage starting in the range of $25-$40/hr based on experience.
  • Learn new methods in constructing high-performance sustainable buildings.
  • Opportunity to travel around BC to assemble panels on-site.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail along with progressive problem solving skills.
  • Shares TAG’s passion for building high-end sustainable buildings in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with standard framing tools and amongst industrial equipment
  • 3+ years of carpentry experience in residential / wood frame construction
  • Ability to follow architectural and drawings accurately
  • Strong understanding of energy efficient construction
  • Ability to follow directions and management of team members
  • Willingness to learn and apply knowledge of building houses
  • Sense of urgency and importance of project timelines
  • Experience working with metric and imperial systems
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyperson Ticket is an asset
  • Passive House Certification is an asset
  • Experience with CADWorks Software is an asset
  • Valid Driver’s License beneficial
  • Red Seal Ticket and ZEB Training are beneficial

Responsibilities Include: 

The right candidate will work in the TAG Panels facility along with a team of like-minded framers, prefabricating wall panels, floor packages and roof panels. There are opportunities to work with installation teams and travel to sites at various locations in B.C.

Daily tasks will include, but not limited to:

  • Precut framing material from a series of cutlists
  • Read shop drawings to produce panels, including walls, floors and roofs
  • Insulate walls with blown-in cellulose
  • Apply building wrap to panels and prepare window openings
  • On-site installation of panels with the use of a crane
  • Assist with the general clean up of the shop
