We have multiple openings for General Labourers with a new rail services shop that is now operational in Squamish. Temp shifts are initially offered, with the potential for hiring if that’s what you’re looking for and if it’s a good fit! Temp Shift Details:
- DATES: Shifts available between Mon-Fri
- HOURS: 7am-5.30pm (40hr work week based on 4x 10hr days max)
- LOCATION: Squamish Railyard
- DUTIES INCLUDE: Assisting with a railcar repairs, site repairs and storage setup at a Rail Servicing shop in Squamish. Includes a variety of maintenance, labouring tasks as well as some basic construction.
- SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Physically fit, ready to work hard, able to lift heavy loads (50lbs) and be on your feet all day. Prior construction or work site experience beneficial but not required.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS / REQUIREMENTS: STEEL-TOED BOOTS ARE USUALLY REQUIRED! Work gloves, hard hat, and visi-vest are also beneficial on construction sites but not always required.
- PROGRESSIVE WAGES: Squamish Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!

- $25/hr TIER1 Base Wage + plus 4% vacation pay is paid in addition to wages on every cheque.
- $27/hr TIER2 after 10 shifts + plus 4% vacation pay
- $29/hr TIER3 after 20 shifts + plus 4% vacation pay
