DATES: Monday – Friday starting Monday 16th March for 2-4 weeks (possibly longer)
- HOURS: 9am-5pm (flexible!)
- LOCATION: 39650 Government Road, Squamish BC.
- DUTIES INCLUDE: Taking the lead with the implementation of a site safety plan at a new Railcar Services Shop in Squamish. This includes:
- Support the safe setup and operation of a new large mechanical shop employing approximately 30-60 workers.
- Conduct a full assessment of the shop’s current safety conditions, procedures, and compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and create effective mitigation strategies.
- Develop, document, and implement a site-specific health and safety plan, policies, procedures and signage.
- Provide hands-on training and orientation sessions for all staff.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and equipment safety standards are met duirng daily operations.
- Maintain detailed records and reports of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Advise management on ongoing safety improvements and compliance measures.
- SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 3+years of relevant experience. Occupational Health and Safety diploma/certificate; CSO, NCSO, or equivalent safety designation preferred.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS / REQUIREMENTS:Must provide own PPE including steel-toed boots, hard-hat and visi-vest.
WAGES: $34 to $46/hr + 4% vacation pay

- Squamish Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts* completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!
- HIGHER WAGES are also available for experienced employees or Team Leads, and many shifts include extra bonuses per hour.
- All wages also receive an extra 4% vacation pay on top.

- $34/hr TIER1 Base Wage
- $36/hr TIER2 after 10 shifts (Base + $2/hr Bonus)
- $38/hr TIER3 after 20 shifts (Base + $4/hr Bonus)
Experienced Site Safety Manager / CSO with leadership experience

- $42/hr TIER1 Base Wage
- $44/hr TIER2 after 10 shifts (Base + $2/hr Bonus)
- $46/hr TIER3 after 20 shifts (Base + $4/hr Bonus)
*Successful Shifts = be on time, work hard and make our clients happy. These can be in any temp position with Squamish Personnel.
